Kristen McLaughlin

M.A., NCC, LPC-Associate, LCCA

Supervised by Amaris Sanchez, LPC-Supervisor #71106

I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where children and families feel truly heard and understood. I believe therapy works best as a collaborative partnership, and I value working closely with parents and caregivers to support a child's emotional growth, resilience, and overall well-being.

Get in touch
Do you accept insurance?

Not yet — we are not currently in network with any insurance plans, though we are working toward it and will update the site as plans become available.

In the meantime, sessions are private pay, with payment due at the time of service. We are happy to provide a superbill upon request so you can seek out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance provider.

We do offer a sliding scale as well, based on financial need. Please reach out to discuss this further.

Who do you work with?

We work with children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families across Texas, including young adults navigating college transitions. We welcome clients of all backgrounds, identities, relationship structures, sexual orientations, and lived experience.

Our approach is rooted in meeting you where you are and supporting growth at your pace.

What types of therapy do you offer?

We offer a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Our therapists specialize in various areas to meet diverse needs.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can get started from our Contact page, where you'll find our intake form and a link to online scheduling. We offer in-person and virtual sessions.

What should I expect during my first session?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your personal history, and your goals.

It's a collaborative space to determine the best path forward and ensure you feel comfortable with your therapist.

How long does therapy usually last?

The duration of therapy varies greatly depending on individual needs, goals, and the specific issues being addressed. Some clients find short-term therapy (a few months) sufficient, while others benefit from longer-term support. We will regularly review your progress together.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

We understand that reaching out for support takes courage. We're here to walk alongside you and your family on this journey toward healing and growth.
